HAIKOU, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- An international intellectual property (IP) exchange started operation Friday in China's southern province of Hainan, as the latest measure to support the construction of the Hainan free trade port.
The IP International Exchange of Hainan has signed more than 60 strategic cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions in areas including IP operation, protection, data services and securitization exploration, said Zhao Jun, general manager of the exchange.
Lin Jijun, deputy director of Hainan's local financial supervision and administration bureau, said the IP exchange can promote the construction of an IP operation service system of the free trade port and facilitate its business environment.
On June 1, China released a master plan for the Hainan free trade port, aiming to build the whole of Hainan Island into a globally influential high-level free trade port by the middle of the century. Enditem
